Frequently asked questions
Please see below for my most often asked questions. If there is anything youre still unsure of, please feel free to get in touch with me.
What do I need to bring?
Absolutely nothing, just yourself. For feet reflexology you will be asked to remove your shoes and socks for the treatment. A full water bottle is always good though to flush those toxins out that will be sent to waste from your treatment. Plus its always good to stay hydrated!
What should I wear?
I always recommend you wear something cosy and comfortable, the sort of thing you might wear on a Sunday to watch a film at home. However, if you want to come straight from work, thats fine also!
What if I snore?
Great! Snore away! Snoring is a great compliment to me, it means youre relaxed and enjoying the treatment. I have had clients talk, snore, dribble, twitch, you name it during their sleep. I dont mind at all.
How long will my treatment last?
I like to give the full hour of reflexology so please allow a little time either side so youre not running late. If its your first treatment, I will take a brief medical history and I always say to allow 15 minutes more for your first treatment to accommodate this.
Why do you need a medical history?
I take a medical history because I need to make sure I am allowed to treat you safely and if so, this allows me to tailor the session for your individual needs. Making sure that you get the best possible result.
I feel tired/full of energy after my treatment, is that normal?
Yes, absolutely. Some people have a ''healing experience''. This can result in you being full of energy after your treatment or more tired that you usually are. This is absolutely normal and should subside within 24 hours of your treatment. If it doesn't, please get in touch or contact your GP or health provider.
Will it hurt or tickle?
Absolutely not. I have studied the Western reflexology. Some people may have experienced Eastern reflexology where tools are used and considerable pressure. My treatment will be gentle and relaxing and should not cause any pain or discomfort.
Does reflexology help everyone? What if I dont like it?
Reflexology works completely differently on each individual. You might try it think its the best thing since sliced bread, you might try it and not like it at all and thats completely OK. You might try it and it not have much affect on you and thats alright also. You may also withdraw your consent at any time during the treatment. Reflexology, the same as many things in life, and similar to a lot of holistic treatments, is not for everyone. However, if you dont give it a go you will never know.
